About

Rune Pedersen

I picked up photography from my dad. Not that he was a photographer, but occasionally he transformed our boiler room into a darkroom and we would develop family pictures together. It was a great inspiration with a touch of magic.

At the age of 10, I shot my first series on a Kodak Instamatic. Greatly fascinated by Star Wars, I recreated an episode of The Empire Strikes Back, starring my toys.

Since then, I have always been playful about photography. I think playfulness is what is keeping this passion alive for me.

I have never been too specific when it comes to photographic genres. This may be a weakness when running a business, but swapping between reportage, portrait, commercial, editorial, Fine Art, corporate or even video and drone keeps my mind young and curious. Hence the title, Visual Artist.

In 2000, I earned a BA in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, the Czech Republic.
